Effective date: June 30, 2026
This notice explains how the current Habident app build stores, uses, and shares account-related data during user testing and ordinary product use. It is written to reflect the current implementation of the app rather than future roadmap features.
1. Account data we collect
When you sign in, the app and its backend services may process your account identifier, sign-in provider identifiers, email address, display name, profile photo URL, and basic account profile fields that you set in the app, such as handler, bio, birthday, or gender when provided.
2. Data stored on your device
In the current version, timelines, posts, text entries, bookmarks, drafts, media files, local profile snapshots, language choice, and other product settings are primarily stored on your device. Habident is designed to keep most personal content local by default in this phase.
3. Backend account records
If backend services are configured, Habident stores a user profile record that can include your account ID, display name, handler, bio, birthday, gender, email, profile photo URL, provider list, account status, user role, user kind, and timestamps such as creation time, update time, deletion time, and last login time. The app may also store an active-session device identifier so the current signed-in device can be verified.
4. Account usage summary uploads
The current app version includes a per-device account-usage summary upload for product operations and analysis. That summary can include generated timestamps, app platform and version, device identifier, timeline identifiers, species categories, created or closed timestamps, layout choices, initial-focus settings, activity counters, and aggregate counts such as timeline count, post count, media count, bookmark count, and information snapshot count. Based on the current code path, this summary is uploaded on first sync, after changed data once the change interval has elapsed, or as a periodic heartbeat when data is unchanged.
5. Data not included in the usage summary
The account-usage summary is not used to upload post text, media file URIs, timeline names, personal bio text, or the full contents of your logs and posts. Those items remain outside this specific summary pipeline, even though other app features may still store related account profile data described in this notice.
6. Why we use this data
We use account and device-linked data to sign you in, maintain your profile, remember local account bindings on a device, support local data management, operate backend account records, detect active-session ownership, troubleshoot issues, and understand product usage at a structural level during testing and ongoing development.
7. Service providers and infrastructure
Habident relies on third-party infrastructure that may process data on our behalf, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, and related mobile platform services. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy materials in addition to this notice.
8. Retention and deletion
Local content stays on your device until you delete it, remove the related local account data, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Backend account records and account-usage summaries may remain in configured backend systems until they are updated, deleted, or cleaned up under internal retention practices. Some deletion actions are best-effort and may depend on device state or backend availability at the time of the request.
9. Deletion requests, retention exceptions, and handling time
Where deletion controls are available in the app, you may use them directly. If backend deletion or account closure requires manual handling in the current testing phase, related requests may be processed within a reasonable operational period rather than instantly. We may retain limited records for legitimate purposes such as security logging, fraud prevention, abuse handling, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backup recovery windows, and enforcing these terms, even after other data is deleted or access is ended.
10. Your choices
You can choose whether to sign in, what profile fields to provide, what content to record, and whether to continue using the app. On supported flows, you may remove a saved account from a device or delete that account's local data from the device. If you do not agree with this notice, do not sign in or continue to use the app.
