Effective date: June 30, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the current Habident app build during user testing and normal product use. By checking the consent box and signing in, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy & Data Use Notice.
1. Who may use Habident
You may use Habident only if you are allowed to do so under applicable law and you have the authority to agree to these terms. If you use the app on behalf of another person or organization, you are responsible for having the permission to do so.
2. Your account and sign-in
You may sign in through the methods that the current app version makes available, including Apple, Google, or email-link sign-in when enabled. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in methods secure. We may use account session checks to confirm which device currently holds the active session for an account.
3. Local-first product behavior
In the current app version, Habident is primarily a local-first product. Your timelines, posts, bookmarks, drafts, settings, media files, and other in-app content are stored on your device by default unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise.
4. Content you add
You keep responsibility for the text, images, videos, profile information, and other material that you add to the app. You must only upload or record material that you have the right to use, and you must not use Habident to violate law, infringe rights, harass others, or misuse the service.
5. Your content rights and necessary app license
You keep any rights you have in the content you create or upload. However, by using Habident, you grant the app a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, copy, format, transmit, cache, back up, display, and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate the app, provide the requested features, maintain security, debug issues, enforce these terms, and comply with law.
6. Networked content review and removal
To the extent that account fields, usernames, profile materials, or other content are transmitted to, stored in, or displayed through configured backend services or networked product surfaces, we may review, restrict, remove, disable access to, or require changes to that material when we reasonably believe it violates law, infringes rights, creates abuse or security risk, breaches these terms, or creates platform-compliance issues. This review and removal right does not mean that we monitor or control purely local private files that remain only on your device.
7. Intellectual property, app materials, and feedback
Except for user content that belongs to you, the app's software, interface, branding, design elements, documentation, and other non-user materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer except where law permits, redistribute, or exploit those materials beyond permitted app use. If you send feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or product ideas, you agree that they may be used to operate, improve, and develop the app without any obligation to compensate you.
8. Testing status and product changes
Habident is still evolving. During user testing and later releases, we may add, remove, pause, or revise features, screens, storage behavior, sign-in methods, sync behavior, and service rules. We may do this to improve reliability, security, legal compliance, and product quality.
9. Account deletion, data deletion, and service termination
You can stop using the app at any time. Some account controls may let you remove a saved account from a device, delete local data stored for that account on that device, or mark an account profile as deleted in backend systems. We may also suspend, limit, or terminate access to all or part of the app if we believe it is reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, technical stability, third-party platform requirements, or the end of a testing period. Because most content is currently stored locally, deleting app data, uninstalling the app, losing device access, or removing local vault data may permanently remove content that is not otherwise backed up.
10. Service availability
We try to keep the app available and functional, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or perfect compatibility across all devices, operating systems, networks, or third-party services. Features may behave differently in development, testing, and release environments.
11. Disclaimer, third-party services, and limitation of liability
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not guarantee that third-party services, app stores, device operating systems, sign-in providers, cloud infrastructure, or network dependencies will remain available, secure, or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the app or from failures, delays, suspensions, or changes involving third-party services.
12. Privacy notice applies too
Your use of Habident is also subject to the Privacy & Data Use Notice shown alongside these terms. That notice explains what account data, device-linked data, and product-usage data the current app version stores locally or sends to backend services.
